Durwood "Woody" Dortch

Classic Structures, Inc. was started by Durwood "Woody" Dortch in 1998 to provide custom homes, additions and remodels. Prior to starting his own company Woody had more than 25 years in the construction field, 20 of it as a Forman or Superintendent. In order to do quality custom work, When he started Classic Structures Woody assembled a team of craftsmen who work directly for the company, minimizing the use of sub-contractors, to ensure the highest quality and attention to detail.

"I have twenty' years of experience representing Owners through my employment with a nationally recognized Developer with in-house design, construction and property management departments. This experience has provided me with sound understanding of Owner concerns relating to the design and construction process. The task of successfully building a project that meet the owners Budget, Quality and Schedule goals is difficult but very much achievable through good planning and execution and most importantly - A Desire to Do the Job Right."

At Classic Structures you deal directly with the owner of the company and a job is only counted as successful when it achieves the customers goals of Quality, Cost and Schedule. This is very different from most contractors' whose motives are "profit, profit and profit". Once you learn to care it is impossible to build in a detached manor.
